Pat Augustine Cultural Centre- Official Opening

It was october of 1999 when the Mt Perry Fine Arts Group finally had a special place where they could celebate and exhibit their craftsmanship. This was a place where people from near or far could see and praise they beautiful works of art. With excitement all round, the group set off to fill the gallery with wonderfull art. To this very day the Pat Augustine Cutural Centre has been host to over 70 brilliant exhibition which the whole community and visitiors of the community have contributed too in their own special way, be it commenting in our visitors book, or displaying an art peiece.

"Art Camp at Mt Perry and Other Things" by Childers Arts Council Visual Artists

From April 7- May 26 the Exhibition "Art Camp at Mt Perry & Other Things" will be open to the public, at the Pat Augustine Cultural Centre. This exhibition is a selection of work by students and tutors of Childers Arts Council Visual Arts Group.
Most of the work was done during the Arts Camp held at Mt. Perry last May and is an example of work produced throughout the year by this group.
Artist range from the experienced to first try beginners all with one thing in common, the love of art.
They all found the landscape at Mt. Perry very inspiring an interpreted it in their own special way producing a wide range of different styles.
