ARt Heading to the Perry

Hope you are as excited as me, we have all this beautiful Art flooding into Mt Perry. Wednesday 11th October the rest will arrive and then the hang ...............and we get to see first hand the Talent we have in our district and the wider community, and a few hops, skips and jumps away to Brisby, Russel Is and beyond our local community. What a great way to meet some beautiful people.

Workshops are starting to overflow. Get in quick only a few spots left.

Our Art Judge Tricia Taylor Master Pastellist is coming from Sydney to the hard task of picking winners for the Prize Money.

Big Day in the Perry 14th October 2017


23rd Annual Art Exhibition " Our Region Our Art Our Craft " opens on Friday night 13th October 7pm in the Community Hall, do come along, as your invited. 
Saturday 14th October is a must go to Mt Perry to see 

Annual Art Exhibition in the Community Hall, with displays of orchids, woodwork, metal work, jewelry, quilts.
 Jack of All Trades Exhibition in the Shelley Kelly Gallery,   from 0830 till 1630 hrs. 

Out side festivities of painting in the Park, Africian drumming at 1100- 1145, destash stall of Arts and Craft. 

The Axeman and Sawers Woodchop from 1000 till 1730 at the Grand Hotel - featuring The Morris Dingle Memorial Chop.

 Rodeo at the show grounds from 1800-2200. with free camping to Rodeo goers.

Jack of All Trades Exhibition by Susie Capewell

We gathered to Name our Gallery in Honor of our Arty Friend Shelley Kelly for her hard work wisdom and devotion to the Arts.

On 23rd September 2017 Councillor John Bowen Officially Named the Mt Perry Gallery, to Honor our Past President of 19 years.

It was a lovely afternoon with Beautiful People and Beautiful Art Works.

The First Exhibition in the Shelley Kelly Gallery was opened by Councillor John Zahl. Our Very Talented Artist Susie Capewell      "  Jack of All Trades "   Exhibition. Susies Art will be on display until 5th November. Do drop in and see her beautiful work.

At the opening, Susie unveiled and gifted a portrait of Shelley to the Gallery. Now Shelley will always be there in spirit watching over the gallery.

Look out for the "Red Rose Print" of a favourite Painting from Shelley's  " My Art Journey " exhibition that ran from January till April 2017.

We have a date!


 The Mt Perry Arts Group Inc. would like to announce that we have a date for our 23rd Annual Exhibition “Our Region, Our Art, Our Craft” from the 13-22 October. Our 2017 Annual Exhibition will be dedicated to our past President, Shelley Kelly. Shelley was our fearless leader and worked tirelessly with her small team to bring the previous 19 festive annual exhibitions to life in the Perry. Shelley has left us far too soon ­– of the many things that remain is the wonderful legacy of the Mt Perry Arts Group Inc. We hope we can do her proud with this years exhibition.

We invite you to be part of this event, enter to win our prizes of over $6000. The “Reflections of Mt Perry” section has a first prize of $2000. We’ll have more information for you soon. If anyone would like to support or sponsor our Art Exhibition please make contact with us.
